Project Anthros: Pre-Alpha v0.0.1 is LIVE! | Devlog #2


Hey everyone!!

I’m ridiculously excited (and a little nervous 😅) to announce that Project Anthros has officially entered the world in its first ever playable form — Pre-Alpha v0.0.1!!

This version is super early and more of a prototype than anything — but it’s something I built with my own hands and brainpower. I’ve been working hard to learn Godot, write my own code (no tutorials this time, baby!), and build the foundations for what this game is going to become.

Right now, this build includes:

  • Basic player movement (with animation!)

  • A working interact system (very basic, but working)

  • A generator that goes beep beep when you poke it(lol)

  • One tiny bunker of mystery(assets aren't fully completed/made)

  • 🖼️ Custom-made cover art I poured my soul into(5 days :/)

I know it’s still rough. But this is the beginning. This is real. This is the first brick in the bunker wall.

🔧 What’s next?

Now that the prototype’s out in the wild, I’m gonna be:

  • Expanding the interactable system

  • Building out a real inventory and crafting framework

  • Starting to lay narrative/lore groundwork (👀)

  • Working toward a playable 2-hour demo later on!(HOPEFULLY RELEASE BEFORE THE END OF 2026(very optimistic about that date~))

And, of course, learning. Always learning. I’m doing this project solo, so every day is a lesson in design, code, art, and storytelling.
